Louisville basketball has a massive ACC showdown tonight against North Carolina State, as the Cardinals try to make a push for a double-bye in the ACC Tournament. Right now, Louisville sits 7-4 in the ACC standings and 17-6 overall as the Wolfpack is two games ahead of the Cardinals with a 9-2 conference record.

With a big-time game like this, Louisville usually gets some recruits in the building, and that is just the case this evening. Pat Kelsey and company will host an elite Kentucky native, Braxton Keathley, who will make his second visit to Louisville.

Keathley is ranked as high as a 3-star recruit out of Martin County High School, located in Prestonsburg, Kentucky. The Cardinals are in an early recruiting battle with some Power Four programs, as Purdue has already earned an unofficial visit, and Kentucky, LSU, Florida State, and others are showing interest after his dominant season. Keathley has collected over eight Division I offers so far.

The Kentucky native is averaging 34.3 points, 10.1 rebounds, and 6.5 assists per game, including a dominant 42 points, 8 rebounds, and 4 steals this past week. The Louisville target was lethal from beyond the arc, splashing 7-of-12 from downtown, and played just three quarters.

Now, he will take his second visit to Louisville this evening for the Cardinals' showdown against the Wolfpack. Keathley ranks as high as the No. 2 recruit out of Kentucky, only behind Louisville commit and 4-star recruit Ferlandes Wright.

Keathley ranks as high as No. 189 in the 2027 recruiting class and No. 49 among shooting guards. The 6-foot-5, 190-pound guard is an elite scorer at all phases of the game and is someone who would be a great addition to the Cardinals' 2027 recruiting class. He has logged three triple-doubles this season so far, and is one of the nation's biggest hidden gems in the 2027 recruiting class.

Louisville has already landed two commitments for the 2027 class, as Wright and Isaac Ellis committed in late 2025.
