Louisville basketball sets another milestone as they soar in AP Rankings

Louisville basketball continues to etch their names into program history books in this dramatic turnaround season.

Cardinals improved to 21-6 after their 89-81 victory over Florida State on Saturday from the KFC Yum! Center. Cardinals have picked up another win streak as they have secured five win in a row, and have won 15 of their last 16.

Pat Kelsey and his Louisville Cardinals have tied the biggest turnaround in program history, securing 13 more wins this year than last year, and if history has any say in the story, then Cardinals will make a run to the Final Four.

AP Rankings came out today and Cardinals strike history again, as Louisville secured a spot in the AP Ranking and have been now ranked for consecutive weeks for multiple times in a season for the first time since the 2020-2021 season. Louisville basketball not only moved up in the rankings, but they are ranked the highest they have been all season, and since that 2020-2021 season.

Louisville basketball has just four games remaining, and the countdown to the ACC Tournament is in full swing.

As the countdown continues to wind down, Cardinals are now ranked No. 19 in the AP Rankings, and continue to show the nation they are the real deal. Louisville basketball is coming off an historic victory over Florida State, as Pat Kelsey and his squad swept multiple teams this season now, and makes it the first time since 2017-2018 season.

Louisville basketball moved up six spots in the rankings, as last week they were ranked No. 25 in the nation in the AP poll. Cardinals sit ahead of No. 20 Purdue, No. 21 Marquette, No. 22 Arizona and others.

Cardinals haven't been ranked in the top 20 of the AP poll since their 2020-2021 season, as this Pat Kelsey squad continues to just break records and set new milestones.
