Frontcourt depth

The Cardinals can’t go out and get just three guards like they did last year. If Louisville wants to compete with the Dukes and Michigans of college basketball, it has to go get players who can guard the Cameron Boozer’s and Yaxel Lendeborg.

Louisville was consistently undersized this season, with Isaac McKneely and J’Vonne Hadley running the small forward and power forward positions, and with the Cardinals losing both, the hope is for Khani Rooths to take a big leap, but Louisville must go get some depth. It will be interesting to see if Rooths returns, and if he does, that is a big return for Kelsey, but he still has to go get someone to play behind him and add depth, and not just forget about the frontcourt yet again.

The Cardinals' biggest weakness last year was their frontcourt, and the fans made it clear they want this addressed this offseason. With Sanada Fru and Vangelis Zougris, hopefully to return and improve, the Cardinals should primarily focus on the small forward and power forward positions.
