It is no secret that the Cardinals' historic 5-star commitment and incoming freshman point guard will declare for the NBA Draft after his freshman season. Louisville basketball continues to trend for multiple 5-star recruits in the 2026 class as Kelsey and his staff officially made an offer to the 5-star guard Dylan Mingo, per On3 Sports' Jamie Shaw. The 6-foot-5, 180-pound guard is ranked as high as a top 10 prospect in the 2026 class, as he is ranked No. 9 per 247Sports Composite.

He currently attends Long Island Lutheran High School and had a standout junior season, earning him a spot on the MaxPreps Junior All-America Third Team.
