It is officially March, which means there is just so much going on in the Louisville Cardinals athletics program, and let's be honest, it is hard to keep up with all of it.
Louisville basketball men's and women's are surging towards the top, the NFL Draft is weeks away following last week's NFL Scouting Combine, spring football practice has officially started for Jeff Brohm, baseball keeps winning, and even more.
So, let's get right into these major storylines from this week that every Louisville Cardinals fan needs to know about.
Louisville basketball makes history
March Madness is just around the corner, and the Cardinals are possibly one of the hottest teams in the country. After last night's 85-68 victory over Cal, Louisville basketball secured their eight-straight win, and have won 18 of it last 19.

Louisville basketball tallies on all of the records they have broken this year are starting to get hard to keep track of, but here it is. Cardinals have the most wins in a single-season vs ACC opponents at 17 wins, they have the biggest turnaround in the win category in consecutive seasons as they have improved by 16 wins, they are ranked in the top 15, and highest they have been in Ap Polls since 2019, and are currently the two-seed in the ACC Tournament. They also secured the most conference wins in a season in program history, as previously it was held by the 2008-09 team when they were in the Big East.
Pat Kelsey has rejuvinated Louisville basketball and this Cardinals program is back. Here's a little recruiting update: Nate Ament put Louisville basketball in his final five schools but plans to visit Arkansas later this month. Cardinals are currently the front runners, but many are just guessing where this 5-star recruit will end up.
Louisville football spring report
Louisville football's official scouting report for this week is that Isaac Brown changed his number to one, head coach Jeff Brohm heavily likes Miller Moss and will wear No.7. Moss hasn't blown the doors off any experts or isn't overly shocking anyone, but clearly has the mechanics and skills to be an All-ACC caliber quarterback.
His footwork is exceptional, and his awareness and decisiveness have stood out so far in this week of spring practice.
Cardinals have been in the news recently for recruits, as Cardinals are now heavy favorites to land a unanimous 4-star safety out of Florida. Cardinals are currently ranked 41st in the nation for their six commitments in the class of 2026. Stay updated with all Louisville football recruiting news and updates here.
Louisville women's basketball set for ACC Tournament
Jeff Walz and his Cardinals will tip off against Clemson this afternoon at 6:30 p.m. local time. The Cardinals secured a bye in the ACC Tournament and are the No. 6 seed in this year's ACC Tournament.
The Cardinals defeated Stanford back on Feb. 27, 78-52, and were led by Tajianna Roberts with 19 points. If Jeff Walz and Louisville basketball can get past Stanford tonight, they will move on to the quarterfinals and play the No. 3 seed in Duke.
That game would take place Mar. 7 at 7:30 p.m. local time on ACCN.
Louisville baseball update
Louisville baseball started the season on the right foot as they defeated No. 7 ranked Texas Longhorns. Louisville is now 9-2 in the season and is set to host UIC in a three-game series at Jim Patterson Stadium from March 7 through March 9.
