The spring transfer portal will close this Friday, April 25. The Cardinals had a slow start to the portal, but in the last few days, Jeff Brohm and his staff have really stepped up the recruiting process.

The Cardinals secured their first commitment from Dacari Collins, a North Carolina State wide receiver transfer. Following Collins, Louisville found out late last night that they secured their second commitment from the portal, as TreyShun Hurry will transfer in from San Jose State.

The 6-foot-2, 194-pound wide receiver will help this thin wideout room, as he will now be one of Miller Moss's top targets next season. Hurry put up solid numbers last season as he secured 28 catches for 481 yards and two touchdowns.

Hurry started in 12 games last season and played in all 13, but had a tough time getting the ball often as he had to play behind the unanimous All-American Nick Nash and the All-Mountain West Second Team wide receiver Justin Lockhart.

This was an excellent pickup for Brohm. Not only is he going to skyrocket this wide receiver room, but he will also provide much-needed depth. Louisville football's offense is expected to be one of the top explosive offenses in the nation next year, led by USC transfer quarterback Miller Moss and preseason All-American Isaac Brown.

Joining Collins and now Hurry in the wide receiver room are Caullin Lacy, Chris Bell, and Antonio Meeks. Bell and Lacy are expected to have extremely high ceilings for next season, as the two wideouts have showcased why they can be two of the best receivers in the ACC.

Kasean Pryor returns to Louisvill basketball

The Louisville Cardinals officially learned yesterday afternoon that their star power forward will return for his final year of eligibility. Kasean Pryor will return to Pat Kelsey, making this a massive update as the 6-foot-10 power forward is expected to be a key starter in the 2025-26 season.

Pryor averaged 12.0 points last season before his season-ending ACL injury. He has played just one season with the Cardinals, as he played with the USF before last season. He is an elite power forward who can not only shoot anywhere in the half-court offense, but he will space out the floor. He was the Cardinals' glaring missing piece for their National Championship quest.

The one-month portal officially concluded, meaning Kelsey is a certified magician. He brought in three elite scorers, a 5-star commit, and two 2525 recruits, yet only managed to lose Koren Johnson in the portal. This lineup is poised to be one of college basketball's deepest and most lethal.

FanDuel currently gives the Cards the fourth-highest odds to win the National Championship. The update from Pryor sets this team up for a legitimate chance at a National Championship run.

Louisville baseball routed by in-state rival

Louisville baseball was going for the sweep over their instate rival, the Kentucky Wildcats, last night, but instead, the game ended in just seven innings as the Cards were run-ruled 17-5 by the Wildcats.

In a crucial rivalry showdown, the No. 19 Louisville Cardinals traveled 90 miles to the University of Kentucky to play the Wildcats at Kentucky Proud Park. However, Louisville got routed as their poor pitching made it nearly impossible for them to earn the sweep.

The Cardinals' pitching only struck out four batters, hit six players, and gave up over 20 baserunners. T.J. Schlageter got the start for the Cardinals but had a quick night, giving up four earned runs in just 1.2 innings.

Fast-forward to the top of the fifth inning. Louisville was down 10-2 and trying to make a comeback. They chipped at the lead and made the game 10-5, entering the bottom of the inning. However, the Cards gave up seven runs in the fifth, scoring 17-5.

No one would score in the sixth, and after going scoreless in the top of the seventh, the Cardinals were officially run-ruled.

Louisville will now look to bounce back as they will take on Florida State at home in a three-game series starting April 25.
