Louisville football trails Clemson 10-9 at halftime, and the fans are not pleased with the Cardinals' performance. The Cardinals fell behind 3-0 early in the first quarter but were able to tie the game by the end of the quarter. Louisville then capitalized on short fieldage after a poor punt by the Tigers after Miller Moss punched it in for a rushing touchdown, but the Cards botched the extra point and only went up 9-3.
Louisville's Duke Watson then fumbled in the Cardinals' territory, and Clemson quickly capitalized and went up 10-9 in the second quarter. After Louisville gave the ball back to the Tigers under a minute, it appeared the Cardinals had the opportunity to call a timeout after Clemson ran the ball on second down, but Jeff Brohm decided not to use a timeout, and the Tigers just ran the clock out.
This isn't the first time Brohm has faced criticism from fans regarding his time management, and after the loss to Cal, it is clear that the fans are unhappy with this decision to end the half.
Louisville football fans outraged with Jeff Brohm's time management to end the half
With the Cardinals down one and all three timeouts left, it doesn't make much sense for Louisville not to use a timeout. The fans are stunned and annoyed by this decision, as he also made a similar move against Virginia Tech, where he elected not to use a timeout in the first half. The Cardinals ended up using a timeout after the third down, but with just six seconds remaining, the fans aren't really sure what his plan was for using that timeout at that point.
After the second down, if he used a timeout, it would have been third and six with 49 seconds remaining. Instead, he elected not to use a timeout, and the Tigers let the clock tick all the way to six seconds. Fans in the stadium were clearly upset as boos and commotion began to be heard.
Agreed. Should have taken a timeout after the 2nd down play. #Coach2Win

Jeff Brohm time management is the worst I’ve ever seen.

Some fans think it shows Brohm doesn't have trust in his quarterback and is afraid Moss might turn it over or make the situation worse. Whether that is the case or not, Brohm has to coach to win, and with that much time left on the clock and down one point, Brohm has to take a timeout after that second down and trust his team.
No timeout here once again shows us Brohm doesn’t trust Moss

The Cardinals quarterback is 10 of 14 for 98 passing yards in the first half. Louisville's offense struggled in the first half and didn't get much on the Tigers' defense. Cardinals fans are outraged that Brohm didn't use a timeout after the second quarter, but some are also beginning to realize it is because he doesn't trust his quarterback.
