College football has had quite the turnaround this 2025 season, with three big-time head coaches fired after underwhelming performances by their respective teams. James Franklin, Billy Napier, and now Brian Kelly were all fired midseason, opening up jobs for some big-time programs.
Of course, when a job like LSU, Florida, and Penn State opens up, the media, news outlets, and fans are going to try to make bold claims. Well, after LSU recently fired Kelly, Louisville football fans saw the odds for the Tigers' next head coach and got a good laugh when they saw Brohm's name near the top of the list. Cardinals fans are not worried one bit about Brohm leaving Louisville for LSU or the other two schools, but they did make it clear that the Cards have to pay Brohm.

Louisville football fans make it clear to pay Jeff Brohm
LSU, Penn State, and Florida all have more money to spend than the Cardinals. However, the fans aren't worried about Brohm leaving for money, they want Louisville to give the head coach the respect he deserves.
Pay him and lock him down, but I don't think for him it's all about the money

The Louisville football fans remind the Cardinals that Brohm deserves a raise, despite money not being his biggest draw. Brohm is a Louisville native who played for the Cardinals for four years and is now building a firm foundation with this program. It is almost impossible to imagine Brohm leaving the Cardinals, but fans are calling for the elite head coach to receive a much-needed raise.
Entering the year, Brohm was making just about $5.9 million per year with his current contract with the Louisville Cardinals. That comes in as the No. 43 highest-paid head coach in college football, and for someone who has exceeded all expectations and has taken this program to contend for an ACC Championship and a spot in the College Football Playoffs, the fans are absolutely right that he deserves a raise.
I think it's great, as long as @GoCards is prepared to give the man a much deserved pay raise. #43 on the list of highest paid college football coaches. He needs to be top 20, at the very least. @LouisvilleFB boosters better open the wallets.

Just a reminder that he needs a raise to be making big boy dollars. He is currently 43rd on the list of highest paid coaches. That should probably be closer to top 15.

Brohm's resume speaks for itself on why he deserves a raise, as the head coach has taken down elite teams in Notre Dame, Clemson, and Miami in three straight seasons, he has the most ACC wins out of every coach since he arrived at Louisville, and he brought the Cards to their first ACC title. Championship game, the most wins in consecutive seasons since 2013 and 2014, and now the Cards are 6-1 and on the bubble for the College Football Playoffs.
Media and fans are going to try to link Brohm to these big-time job openings, but the fans know that is just not realistic. However, the fans want their coach to get paid the money he deserves, and while they won't pay him the $13.2 million that Kirby Smart is making at Georgia, he may be making $9 million like Mark Stoops is making at Kentucky.
