Louisville has some areas to fill in its secondary, including at cornerback. Someone who was highly ranked coming out of high school is the Texas A&M transfer, Jayvon Thomas. The former 4-star recruit was ranked as high as No. 124 in the 2023 recruiting class and was No. 13 among cornerbacks. He was a consensus 4-star recruit after earning 30 tackles, two pass deflections, one forced fumble, and one interception in his junior season.
He now enters the portal after three seasons with the Aggies, during which he earned five starts and played in 20 games. Thomas didn’t see the field much this past season and now enters the portal looking for a bigger role. With Louisville losing four of its top five defensive backs from 2025, Thomas emerges as a perfect target. The Texas A&M transfer secured 33 tackles and one interception in his three years.
