Not many college football fans know about the Youngstown transfer, Makai Shahid. The 3-star transfer is coming off a career season for the Penguins after he logged 68 tackles, four pass deflections, and one interception. In his redshirt freshman season, Shahid started in nine of the Penguins' 12 games and finished second on the team with 56 tackles. He also earned two forced fumbles.
He is now a good target for Louisville’s secondary as the Cardinals need to add some depth, especially at the safety position. Shahid ranks as high as No. 437, No. 37 among the safeties, and is the third-best safety available according to 247 Sports.
