Louisville football had a huge recruiting weekend as the Cardinals landed two under-the-radar 2027 recruits in Cornelius Tims III and Josiah Pouncy. Tims committed to Louisville after earning offers from Syracuse, Kansas, Boston College, UCF, and West Virginia, while Pouncy is a 3-star ATH prospect who held offers from Kentucky, Indiana, Tennessee, Pitt, and others.
The Cardinals are trending in the right direction ever since they hired Vince Marrow to help them with recruiting, and this 2027 class is trying to be one of the best classes in a long time for the University of Louisville. The Cards still have a lot of work to do, and Marrow made it clear they are “Not done yet.”
With the Cards' latest two additions, this class is up to seven commitments already, and Jeff Brohm and Marrow have this recruiting class raising eyebrows as the Cardinals are ranked No. 11 in the nation.

Jeff Brohm and Louisville football's 2027 recruiting class rises
Louisville has already landed seven commitments in the 2027 recruiting class, and of those seven, four are 4-star recruits. For reference, in the 2026 recruiting class, Louisville landed 20 commitments and only three 4-stars, meaning the Cardinals have already earned more 4-star commitments for 2027 than they did in 2026.
Brohm and Marrow have been working overtime for this recruiting class, and it is all paying off early. The biggest commitment among the seven is, of course, Allen Evans, the 4-star cornerback from Louisville. The local superstar committed to the Cardinals, ranked as high as No. 39 in the nation, marking the sixth-highest rated Louisville commit in modern history.
Joining Evans are three other 4-stars in quarterback Jack Sorgi, tight end D’Angelo White, and wide receiver Chuck Alexander Jr. Louisville earned these four commitments over big-time schools like Alabama, Ohio State, Indiana, Tennessee, Michigan, Penn State, and many other dominant Power Four programs.
Louisville’s 2027 recruiting class, ranked No. 11, is trending to make Cardinals history, as 247 Sports reports Louisville has not made a top-15 recruiting class since 2010.
There is still plenty of time left for this 2027 recruiting class, and spring and summer are the key times to recruit these high school superstars. But for now, Louisville fans should recognize how dominant Brohm and Marrow have been, as their seven commitments put them right on the outside of the coveted top 10 and ahead of giant programs like Michigan, Florida State, Clemson, Tennessee, LSU, and others.
