The Louisville Cardinals have had a slow transfer portal, but they are upping their recruiting as the spring portal enters its final stretch. Jeff Brohm landed his lone commitment two days ago, as Dacari Collins committed to Louisville.

The North Carolina State transfer is an elite wide receiver who will help Caullin Lacy and Chris Bell out on the outside. The Cardinals have received two visits from wide receiver TreyShun Hurry and tight end C.J. Jacobsen, both transfers, who are visiting today.

In recent news, the Cardinals learned excellent news that their defense will get some spotlight as Brohm and the Cardinals secured a visit with an elite defensive end from New Mexico State.

Louisville football trending towards under-the-rader DE

According to Pete Nakos, the former defensive end for New Mexico State, Justin Beadles will visit Louisville later this week. The 6-foot-5, 270-pound edge rusher is coming off his best collegiate season, as he secured 20 tackles, 10 were solos, four were tackles for a loss, and was credited with half a sack last season with the Aggies.

The New Mexico State transfer will look for his fourth college program. He started with Virginia Tech before transferring to Houston and eventually played with New Mexico State last year. He will now be in the transfer portal for the second straight season.

Beadles was a 3-star recruit out of Sandy Creek High School in the class of 2020. The Georgia native received 17 offers out of high school, including offers from LSU, Mississippi State, Syracuse, and others. The Cardinals have lost several players on the defensive side, whether through the NFL Draft or the transfer portal. If the Cardinals can secure some depth with Beadles, it would make this an excellent pickup for Brohm.
