Louisville football fans learned that their former quarterback, Will Stein, will take over as head coach for the Kentucky Wildcats, leaving them with quite mixed feelings. Kentucky and Mark Stoops parted ways after 13 seasons, as the Cats were blown out by Louisville for the second straight season and finished 5-7.

The coaching carousel has been a hot topic recently, with Florida and Auburn finding their next coach, and of course, LSU stealing Lane Kiffin from Ole Miss. And now, Kentucky will join the mix, but the Cats didn't need much time to reach out to their guy, and Stein quickly took the job.

This hire certainly stokes the rivalry further, with fans not hesitating to speak up about Stein leading his old rival.

Stein wasn't just a Louisville alum, but he was a Louisville native. The former quarterback went to Trinity High School, where he holds the record for most passing touchdowns with 54. From there, he went to Louisville and played quarterback for four years.

He was then put on staff as a graduate assistant by Charlie Strong and was working with quarterbacks his first season, and was the offensive quality control coach for Bobby Petrino his second season. Now, however, his next stop is being the head coach for the team that was his rival for six seasons. And the fans, well, they don't like it that much.

The Cardinals have won the last two Governor's Cups in dominant fashion. The Cardinals have outscored Kentucky 82-14 over the last two games, and the fans are making it clear they don't care who is Kentucky's head coach they want to blow the Wildcats out every season.
