Louisville football will take the field tomorrow night from L&N Stadium against the Clemson Tigers as the Cardinals try to secure their second win over Clemson in program history. The Cards earned their first win in program history last year when Louisville went to Death Valley and dominated Clemson in a 33-21 victory. Now, they will look to win two straight years in this rivalry and keep their ACC Title hopes alive.
The Cards are coming off a devastating loss to Cal, making them 7-2 on the season and 4-2 in ACC play. They need a lot to happen for them to make it back to Charlotte, but the most important thing is to take care of business and to win out to try and position themselves in a spot to return to the ACC Championship game.
As Louisville gets ready for this game, there are a few players fans are keeping an eye on, and when the preliminary injury report came out last night, the Cardinals received a massive boost on the defensive end, as one key player will officially make his return.

Stanquan Clark was listed as probable last night in the injury report, making it appear the Cardinals' defensive star is set to make his return to the field since his crushing injury back in Week 2. Clark has missed every game since suffering a leg injury in the fourth quarter against James Madison, but now it appears he is making his return, giving this defense a massive boost for this crucial showdown.

The Tigers are 4-5 this season, but when watching tape, fans will see that they are no pushovers. Getting Clark back for tomorrow night's showdown is massive in boosting this defense, and it's not only crucial to have him for the Clemson showdown but also for the SMU showdown next weekend.
Clark was second on the team in total tackles last season with 76, and added two interceptions, two forced fumbles, two pass deflections, and a sack as well. Clark is a big-time player who shows up in massive games, as he earned a career high of 13 tackles a season ago in Death Valley against Clemson. His return is crucial and coming at the perfect time as Louisville tries to stay in the hunt for the ACC Championship game.
