The Transfer Portal chaos is here, and the Louisville football fans are excited to see what is about to happen over the next 14 days. Louisville fans have already been informed they will lose key players in Isaac Brown, Duke Watson, AJ Green, and three quarterbacks, but they also just learned they will keep Clev Lubin.
The Cardinals have many positions that need a lot of attention, but one of the biggest areas of need is the wide receiver group. The WR room needs a lot of depth, as they have seen multiple receivers hit the portal and have now lost their top seven receivers from 2025.
However, Brohm is apparently already making moves to try and earn that first commitment this winter as he landed an early visit from a wide receiver, which answers all of the Cardinals' prayers.

Louisville lands early visit from elite transfer WR
Louisville fans learned Friday morning that the Cardinals are in a recruiting battle with Wisconsin, Indiana, Oklahoma State, LSU, Auburn, and Oregon for an elite wide receiver. UAB star receiver Iverson Hooks will visit these seven schools next week.
The redshirt junior star is coming off a dominant season in which he logged 72 catches for 927 receiving yards and 7 touchdowns. He earned 50 receiving yards or more in nine games, 80 receiving yards in four games, and 100 receiving yards in two games, including his impressive 11 catches for 172 yards and three touchdowns against No. 22 Memphis at the time.
Now he will visit Wisconsin Jan. 3-4, Indiana Jan. 4-5, Oklahoma State Jan. 6-7, LSU, Jan. 7-8, Auburn Jan. 8-9, and Oregon and Louisville dates are unknown at the moment. The Cardinals are in dire need of multiple receivers as they have not only lost their top seven receivers but also lost two of their top three tight ends.
Louisville has Jaleel Skinner returning right now, along with multiple 2026 commitments, including 4-star Julius Miles. The Cards have to hit the portal hard, and Hooks is a perfect target. He ranks as a 3-star transfer, No. 40 WR in the portal and No. 160 overall.
