Louisville football has secured its quarterback for the 2026 season in Ohio State transfer Lincoln Kienholz. Though Kienholz has limited game experience, he was a serious contender in Ohio State's recent QB competition before Ryan Day opted for Julian Sayin.
So, with Louisville giving the ball to Kienholz, it is no secret the Cards have to go get some playmakers on the outside. With Louisville losing six of its top seven wide receivers and only returning Antonio Meeks, the Cards must go get some wide receivers. Brohm has been putting in the work with this position group, as he has already secured numerous visits from wide receivers, including the most recent one reported, who will sound familiar to the Cards fans.
According to Hayes Fawcett, Louisville is one of four teams that are scheduled to visit for standout Texas transfer DeAndre Moore Jr. The Texas transfer is among the top-ranked transfers on the portal and was a long-time Louisville commit before flipping to Texas.

Louisville was expected to be heavily involved in the Transfer Portal, but the targets, commitments, and players Louisville is earning visits from have the fans all-in on Brohm’s master plan. The Cardinals have already learned they will get visits from key WR transfers in Iverson Hooks, Wyatt Young, and Jayce Brown, and now they will also get a visit on Jan. 5-6 from their former 4-star commit in the 2023 class.

The Cardinals are in a recruiting battle with in-state rival Kentucky Wildcats, who have already earned a visit, and with Ohio State and Colorado. Louisville and Moore have a rich history, as the Texas transfer committed to Louisville in May 2022 but flipped his commitment to the Longhorns in December 2022. He was a 4-star recruit out of St. John Bosco High School and ranked as high as No. 101 in the 2023 recruiting class and was the No. 17 wide receiver in the class.
Now, after three seasons with the Longhorns and earning a combined 77 catches for 988 receiving yards and 11 touchdowns, he ranks as the No. 10 transfer overall in the portal and the No. 3 wide receiver. He took a massive leap in his sophomore season, where he earned a career high 39 catches and seven touchdowns while adding 456 receiving yards. This past season, he earned 38 catches and four touchdowns and earned a career-high 532 receiving yards.
The Cardinals earned his commitment out of high school over elite programs like Notre Dame, Alabama, Georgia, and others. Now they will try to do it again as they are fighting against the 2024 National Champions in Ohio State, Colorado, and Kentucky.
