Louisville football fans are rejoicing after the Cardinals learned Sunday evening that their star running back, Isaac Brown, will not enter the Transfer Portal. After a crushing update on January 1 that Brown was planning to enter the portal, the Louisville fans were crushed. Brown immediatley earned a Crystal Ball prediction from Texas and reportedly was also gaining interest from Ole Miss, but decided to stay with Louisville.
Brown is excited to see what 2026 brings as the Cardinals landed elite transfer Lincoln Kienholz from Ohio State, pairing him up with Brown. Louisville fans began to think Brown wasn’t going to enter the portal after Louisville landed Kienholz, as the two began following each other, and Brown reposted on his Instagram, noting Louisville earned the Ohio State commitment.
Brown is one of the best running backs in the nation, ranking No. 15 in the Transfer Portal and No. 1 at his position before he decided to return to Louisville. So, with Kienholz committing to Louisville and the Cardinals bringing Brown back, their new No. 1 target is clear as day.

Louisville secured a key visit from Texas transfer and former Louisville commit DeAndre Moore Jr. The Texas transfer initially committed to Louisville back in the 2023 recruiting class, where he was the No. 101 recruit and the No. 17 wide receiver. He committed to Louisville in May 2022 and stayed a Cardinal until December, when he flipped his commitment to Texas to join Archie Manning.
Now, after two seasons with the Longhorns, the former Louisville commit is available once again, and the Cardinals are one of the frontrunners for the elite transfer. Moore ranks as the 10th-best transfer in the portal and the No. 3 wide receiver, after earning a career high 532 receiving yards in 2025, along with four touchdowns and 38 catches. In his true freshman season, he logged 39 catches for 456 receiving yards and seven touchdowns.
With Louisville losing six of its top seven receivers and two tight ends, Moore immediatley is a top target. The Cardinals are one of four teams in the running as he first visited Kentucky, then Louisville on Sunday, and will visit Ohio State and Colorado in the near future.
The thought of Brown, Moore, and Kienholz already has the fans in a complete frenzy, and so now Brohm and Vince Marrow have to work some portal magic once more and try to bring in the once Louisville commit.
