He is ranked as high as a four-star prospect, the No. 28 linebacker in the nation, and the No. 4 prospect out of the state of Kentucky, according to 247Sports Composite.
Jeff Brohm and his staff clearly have an uphill climb if they want to win Busch over, but according to On3 Cardinals are the current frontrunner. On3 gives Louisville a 42.7% chance to land the 4-star recruit.
Karsten Busch currently goes to St. Xavier High School and is ranked in the top 400 in the nation. Some of the other schools in contention include, Minnesota, Michigan State, Wake Forest, West Virginia, and of course Kentucky.
Kentucky also received news this afternoon that they will get an official visit on June 20. The Wildcats and Cardinals seem to be in a absolute battle for the Kentucky native. The two in-state rivals are all-hands-on deck for Busch, but it seems like UofL is in the lead as of now.
Jeff Brohm and his Cardinals seem to be in great position to land this highly-recruited in-state linebacker. Cardinals are starting to make noise in the recruiting business for 2026 and 2027. For all updates on Louisville football, make sure to stay tuned.
