Louisville football's 2025 season is drawing closer, and while many Cardinals fans are all-in on the basketball program, let's not forget about football first. The Cardinals are projected to be one of the best teams in the ACC and are generating some buzz as a dark horse team to make the College Football Playoffs.

The leader of the group? Well, that would be Jeff Brohm's ACC Offensive Player of the Year, Isaac Brown. The sophomore running back is expected to be one of the top tailbacks in the nation next season, after he broke multiple program records and put the country on notice last season.

Yesterday, Brown learned he is rated 93 overall in EA Sports College Football '26, but he also earned recognition by making the Walter Camp pre-season All-American Second Team.

Last season, Brown averaged 7.1 yards per carry, which led the ACC. Other notable stats include his 11 rushing touchdowns, ranked No. 5 in the league, and he broke Lamar Jackson's true freshman rushing yard record with 1,173 yards. If Louisville wants a chance at the 2025 ACC Title, then Brown must not only play like he did last year, but must step up and lead this program to its first ACC Title.

Brown is expected to be a top-three running back next season, and with the supporting cast on the outside in Chris Bell and Caullin Lacy, and with Miller Moss under center at quarterback now, this Louisville offense is poised to break out.

The 5-foot-9, 190-pound running back ran for 100 yards or more in five games last season, including his career high 178 rushing yards in the Governors Cup against the Kentucky Wildcats.
