The spring transfer portal has been open for a few days, and the Cardinals' involvement is starting to pick up. Louisville needs to attack the wide receiver and tight end positions on the offensive side of the ball and in the last 24 hours, the Cardinals nation has found out some excellent news.
The first report was that Louisville football has locked in an official target with a 3-star under-the-radar transfer, C.J. Jacobsen. The Utah transfer will visit the University of Louisville on Monday, April 21.
Jody Demling of 247Sports reports that the Cardinals will also have a second visit on the 21st, as the former standout from Weber State has officially earned an offer from the Cardinals and will visit Louisville with Jacobsen.
Louisville football trending for elite WR in key Miami, BYU battle
TreyShun Hurry is an elite playmaker in this spring transfer portal, and Cardinals fans should be excited that he is set to visit Louisville. Hurry started his career at Weber State before transferring to San Jose State, making that jump to a Group of Five conference.
Last season, Hurry was overlooked as the Spartans had the All-American wide receiver Nick Nash. The Cardinals' target is a 6-foot-2, 194-pound receiver who can make 50/50 catches and extend the chains.
Louisville needs a receiver like Hurry, who made 28 catches last season for 482 receiving yards and two touchdowns. Head coach Jeff Brohm likes these under-the-radar targets, so he can go all-in on these players and try and develop them into 4-star athletes.
Louisville must go after the wide receiver position, as the Cardinals need help outside of Caullin Lacy and Chris Bell. Hurry would be an excellent WR3 for Brohm, but it appears this wide receiver has been generating some noise as now BYU, Miami, USF, and West Virginia have all made an official offer to Hurry.

Hurry secured 50 receiving yards or more in five games last year, including two 66-receiving-yard performances and one 71-yard performance. His best game came against an ACC opponent who beat the Cardinals last year, the Stanford Cardinal. Hurry secured four catches for 71 yards, including a receiving touchdown.
