Louisville football is trailing 21-6 at halftime, and things are ugly. The Cardinals' defense looks checked out and has struggled to slow this Mustangs offense down. The Cardinals have lost their last two games, and now, in their final ACC showdown, the fans are seeing that this Louisville team, which was once 7-1 and had everything in front of them, has a real chance of finishing 7-5 on the season.
The Cardinals have to pull off a massive comeback over an ACC Title contender in SMU in this second half, but after that first half, Louisville fans saw their odds plummet to +1100. So, if the Cards continue this losing streak and are 7-4 entering their rivalry showdown with Kentucky, the fans are beginning to fear the worst and think Louisville might end this season 7-5, including a crushing loss in the Governor's Cup.
Louisville football fans fearing the worst vs Kentucky
Louisville's defense has given up 17 first downs and 250 total yards in just the first half, while the Cards have only seven first downs and 125 total yards. The Cards are without starting quarterback Miller Moss and star running backs Isaac Brown and Keyjuan Brown, but this offense has shown life with Deuce Adams. The 3-star quarterback has shown a spark of life for this offense, as his throws have a zip to them, including their last drive, when he connected on a 28-yard pass to Dacari Collins and a 26-yard pass to Chris Bell.
However, Louisville couldn't find the end zone, and Cardinals fans are fearing the worst after that ugly half.
Weβre losing next week too.

The Cardinals and the Wildcats will kick off next weekend, November 29, at noon local time. The Cardinals opened as 6.5-point favorites, but after this ugly half and Louisville's injuries, it will be interesting to see if that line moves.
Louisville was at one point ranked as high as No. 15 in the College Football Playoffs, and was 7-1, but this team is on the brink of an ultimate collapse. Louisville looks like they are going to fall to 7-4, and then a loss next week would be the cherry on top of what could have been a season.
The Cards ended a five-game losing streak to Kentucky last year by defeating the Wildcats in Lexington, 41-14. If Louisville loses this afternoon, it will try to snap a three-game losing streak and earn that crucial eighth win before the bowl game. However, if you ask the fans, it is clear some are beginning to grow concerned about the in-state rivalry matchup for the Governor's Cup.
