Louisville football is expected to be one of the top teams contending for an ACC Title in 2025, and the glaring reason why is star running back Isaac Brown. The preseason All-American running back is coming off one of the best freshman seasons in program history.
Brown immediately made a name for himself as he broke Lamar Jackson's freshman year rushing yards record with 1,173 rushing yards. The 5-foot-9, 190-pound running back admitted that he has a lot of pressure on his shoulders entering year two with the preseason hype, but he believes that won't slow him down, and he is poised for an even bigger season next year than last year.

Isaac Brown reveals one area he improved this offseason
Last season, Brown averaged 7.1 yards per carry and earned 11 rushing touchdowns. The All-ACC running back dominated the field immediately for Jeff Brohm, and as a true freshman.
Now, with a season under his belt, experts and fans are excited to see what is to come and how much better Brown can get. The star running back was recently asked in what areas he had improved, and one area he emphasized is that the game has slowed down for him, and he believes he is going to be even more explosive this year.
"I got better on and off the field," Brown stated. "Everything's slowing down for me, for real. Last year, I was just out there running. Now, I feel like the game's slowed down for me, and I can have more explosive plays than I had last year. So, I feel like this season is a big season for me."
Having a season under him is crucial for Louisville next season, as now he knows Brohm's offense more, and he knows what works and what doesn't. Brown believes he is going to have not only another breakout season, but is destined for an even better campaign than his 165 carries for 1,173 rushing yards and 11 rushing touchdowns.
And when you dive deeper into his season, fans will see he rushed for 100 yards or more five times, including his first game, where he only earned five carries. In the regular season last season, Brown's six rushes for 40 yards or more ranked No. 2 in the nation, and he also ran 20 yards or more 11 times.
He logged 80 rushing yards or more in eight of the 13 games, 100 yards or more in five games, 120 yards or more in four games, 150 yards or more in two games, and his career high was against Kentucky, where he earned 26 carries for 178 yards and two touchdowns.
If he can have a better season than that and be even more explosive next season, then he will be a Heisman candidate, and Louisville should be returning to Charlotte for the ACC Championship game.
