Louisville Cardinals former quarterback Tyler Shough is officially NFL-bound. The Cardinal was drafted in the second round with the No. 40 overall pick, making him the third quarterback selected in the 2025 NFL Draft.
It was a surprise that the New Orleans Saints selected Shough over Shedeur Sanders, making the former Colorado quarterback undrafted heading into day three. The Saints fans should be thrilled with their selection, as Shough's tape has been viewed as one of the top tapes in the class, and he is a player who can help New Orleans win now.
Shough was not in Green Bay for the NFL Draft, but his draft video has gone viral on all platforms, and it isn't because of his reaction.

The ESPN College Football Gameday interviewed Shough later on, and in the interview, Rece Davis asked about the star of the NFL Draft, Murphy.
"She was fired up for sure. She was snoozing a little bit earlier, but now she is ready to go to New Orleans," Shough stated.
The content is extremely wholesome and heartwarming, and Murph's desire to celebrate with Shough makes the NFL Draft experience all the more special. The future Saint had a sensational season with the Cardinals last year as he threw for 3,195 yards, 26 touchdowns, with a 62.7 completion percentage.
Shough was just one of two Cardinals drafted on day two of the NFL Draft, as Ashton Gillotte will head to Kansas City as Andy Reid's Chiefs drafted him.
For all the latest on Louisville football's offseason, and the NFL Draft stay tuned.
