Louisville football is set to kick off with Cal this evening from L&N Stadium at 7 p.m. local time. The Cardinals are 7-1 this season and are fighting for a spot in the ACC Championship game and the College Football Playoffs. Jeff Brohm and his Cardinals will be without their star, Isaac Brown, tonight, but have Duke Watson back and will look to keep this rushing attack dominant.

Cal enters this game coming off a hard-fought loss against Virginia and another loss the previous week to Virginia Tech. The Golden Bears started 4-1 but have since been 1-3. Now, these two ACC teams will clash, with Cal trying to play spoiler and ruin the Cards' ACC Title hopes, while Louisville tries to take care of business and keep its dreams alive.

So, let's break down the odds and make some predictions for this ACC showdown.

Prediction

Despite the Cardinals losing their star running back, Louisville's rushing attack is going to see a lot of action in this game. Brohm is going to try to get his star Duke Watson back, get the rust off of him, and expect a breakout game from Watson and Keyjuan Brown.

The Cards' defense should smother this Cal offense, putting Louisville's offense in an excellent position to run away with the game. Louisville has struggled in the first half to score and has started slowly, but don't be surprised if they start blazing hot tonight, just like they did against Miami.

Louisville wins by 14 as this offense is too much for Cal's defense to handle, and their offense cannot keep up with Brohm's.

Prediction: Louisville 34 Cal 20
