Louisville football is 3-0 for the third straight season after coming off its 40-17 victory over Bowling Green this Saturday. The Cardinals have outscored their opponents 119 to 48 in their three games, but now will turn to their ACC schedule and the Pitt Panthers in Week 5.
Louisville will travel to Acrisure Stadium this Saturday for a noon kickoff. This will not only mark the Cards' first ACC test, but it will be their first game away from L&N Stadium and their first road game. The Panthers are 2-1 after they dropped their last game to West Virginia, 31-24. Pitt is coming off a bye and will have some fresh players, but Louisville is still confident they have what it takes to leave Acrisure Stadium with a bye, and FanDuel agrees. So, here are the early odds for the Cardinals' showdown with Pitt, and an early prediction.

Louisville vs. Pitt prediction
The Cardinals will march into Pittsburgh, Pa., and will have a staple victory for this 2025 season. Louisville fans have been waiting for Week 5 and a true test for this Cardinals squad, and they will see an impressive win Saturday at Acrisure Stadium. The Panthers showed in a rivalry game with West Virginia that they have a hard time stopping the run as Tye Edwards rushed for 141 yards and three touchdowns.
With Isaac Brown now going up against this Panthers defense, Brohm must give Brown the ball around 15-20 carries Saturday, and he will be poised for a breakout performance. The Cardinals' defense will go up against their biggest test yet, but they shouldn't have too much trouble and should still be able to get the job done and dominate the trenches.
Louisville fans should expect a win on Saturday and will see their Cardinals go 4-0 since 2023. Louisville covers 3.5 and defeats the Pitt Panthers on the road.
Prediction: Louisville 31 Pitt 24
