The last couple of weeks, there has been massive news in college football. James Franklin and Billy Napier were both fired from their programs, completely shaking up the college football world. Entering the 2025 season, Penn State was ranked No. 1 in the nation and one of the favorites to win the Big 10 and the National Title, but after losing to Oregon in double-OT and then to UCLA and Northwestern, the Nittany Lions decided it was time to move on from Franklin.

As for Florida, many experts thought this season was going to go differently for the Gators. Florida was a team that many could make some noise in the SEC, but the Gators dropped game two to USF, then lost to LSU and Miami, putting Napier on the hot seat. The Gators did beat No. 9 Texas but lost by two scores to Texas A&M, and now they sit 3-4, and without Napier for the first time since 2022.

So, with two massive schools like Florida and Penn State looking for a head coach, some names are going to be thrown around, and well, after Louisville's big-time win over Miami, Jeff Brohm is now one of them.

Louisville’s win over Miami has Penn State and Florida dreaming about Jeff Brohm

Louisville football fans can only look at these rumors and laugh, as they know Brohm won't go anywhere and that Louisville is his home. But, after beating Miami this past weekend, and his impressive 4-4 record against Top 5 teams has gone viral, Florida and Penn State fans are, of course, going to try to claim him as an option.

The Athletic recently put out a post of Florida's top candidates following Napier's firing, and No. 4 on the list was none other than Brohm himself. Bruce Feldman of The Athletic was quite impressed with Brohm's 4-4 stat and asked if he would leave his alma mater to coach a program with "better talent."

As for Penn State, the fans consider him an "intriguing option" and appear to like his culture and fit Penn State's standards. Once again, like his resume and claims, he is a good coach with less talent.

Louisville fans are flooding the comments for both The Athletic and Penn State's post, as it is hard to imagine Brohm leaving. Brohm wanted to come home and coach Louisville, and now that he is here, he has done nothing but break records for the Cardinals in his three seasons.

Louisville fans should look at these posts and laugh and not think twice about it. Brohm has a 23-9 record at Louisville and led Louisville to the most wins in consecutive seasons since 2013 and 2014. He has the most ACC wins out of every coach since 2023, and also earned key wins over Miami, Notre Dame, and Clemson. He led Louisville to its first ACC Championship game, and now will seek its first ACC Title.

So to think he has accomplished all that in just two and a half seasons, this program has skyrocketed up since he got here, and there are no signs he plans to leave. After a win over the No. 2 team in the nation, of course, Florida and Penn State fans are going to dream about Brohm, but that is as far as they will get.
