Louisville football has their eyes set to return to Charlotte for the ACC Championship game this upcoming season, and for that to happen, the Cardinals' offense must live up to the hype and the expectations. The Cardinals' offense is coming off a spectacular season, led by second-round draft pick Tyler Shough.
The Cardinlas were the only team in college football to score 24 points or more in every game last season, and Jeff Brohm is hoping for similar results this year. With defense finding its true identity early in the season, the Cardinals' offense will have to carry the load and score a lot of points in the first month of football.
When looking at the offense, fans will immediately jump to Isaac Brown. The preseason All-American is getting all the hype and spotlight entering the season, and after Brown is the Cardinals' other preseason All-ACC member, Chris Bell.

Louisville's Chris Bell sets the tone for fall camp after first practice
Bell is coming off his best season at the collegiate level, as he has quickly emerged as one of the top wide receivers in the ACC. Last season, after Caullin Lacy went down with an injury, Bell rose to the occasion and quickly became a massive target for Shough to play alongside Ja'Corey Brooks.
Bell started in every game last season and earned 43 catches for 737 yards and four touchdowns, marking a career high in all three of the stats. The junior wide receiver has a lot of expectations entering the 2025 season and is expected to take another massive jump from his sophomore campaign.
In Charlotte for ACC Media Days, Bell was asked what about this offense makes it so fun and so challenging, and Bell explained that Brohm is the type of coach every elite wide receiver wants to play for.
"I love that it is like an NFL-style offense," Bell stated at the ACC Media Days. "I love that it's an explosive offense. I love that Coach Brohm likes to get the ball in the receiver's hands and lets us make plays. I love how he likes to throw it out, air it out. That's what I love about this offense."
The 6-foot-2, 200-pound receiver is coming off an incredible season. When he earned 50 total yards or more, Louisville went on to go 7-2. Bell is going to play a crucial role this upcoming season, and with speedy wide receivers in Caullin Lacy and TreyShun Hurry alongside him, Bell should emerge as one of the best wideouts in the ACC.
Last season, Bell secured 50 receiving yards or more in eight games, including the previous four games of the season. Bell will look to carry that momentum into 2025 as he earned consecutive 100 receiving yards or more, followed by earning 84 receiving yards against Kentucky, and 60 yards against Washington in the Sun Bowl.
Bell and Moss will have some growing pains early on in the season, but they should emerge as an elite duo. Moss loves to air the ball out, and that is one of the reasons many think he fits perfectly in Brohm's style of play.
The preseason All-ACC wide receiver has a lot of hype to live up to, but the aggressiveness he brings to the Louisville offense has him poised for a breakout season. Bell has the opportunity to take over as the Cardinals' No. 1 wide receiver and earn over 1,000 receiving yards this year.
The production is there, but he has been playing under Brooks and company. Now, it is his turn, though. Bell is trending in the right direction, and the whole ACC has him on its radar entering the 2025 season.
