The New Orleans Saints are rolling, thanks to No. 40 pick Tyler Shough from Louisville. Shough has been outstanding since taking over as the starting quarterback, especially in the past three weeks.

Shough and Spencer Rattler were battling it out for that starting position all offseason, but Kellen Moore decided to give the keys to Rattler over Shough. However, after a 1-7 start, Moore benched Rattler and turned to Shough. Shough has led New Orleans to a four-game winning streak, the program's first since Drew Brees was starting under center. The former Cardinal has led the Saints to a 5-3 record since he took over, and has the Saints now 6-10.

Through this four-game winning streak, everyone is taking notice, including future Hall of Famer Matt Ryan. The former Falcon now works for CBS Sports, and after the Saints came back to defeat the Titans yesterday, Ryan said what Louisville football fans have been screaming since August.

Matt Ryan believes the Saints found their QB in Tyler Shough

Louisville fans have been Shough’s biggest supporter, and since the summer and preseason games, they have been preaching that Shough was the Saints guy, not Rattler or even Shedeur Sanders. The Saints selected Shough No. 40 overall, passing up on the Colorado star. At that moment, Colorado, Saints, and even just NFL fans in general were saying how bad a pick it was. Well, Shough and Louisville fans are getting the last laugh.

Now the nation is realizing how special Shough is, and this three-game winning streak has even Matt Ryan, former NFL MVP and four time pro-bowler, saying the Saints have found their franchise quarterback.

“Week in and week out, he has produced,” Ryan stated on Shough. “Tyler Shough has come in and provided a spark for them. I think they have found their guy moving forward."

Shough put on an absolute clinic of a performance yesterday, where he threw for 333 yards while completing 81.4 percent of his passes and added two touchdowns and zero interceptions. In his last three games, he has completed 72 percent of his 108 passes while throwing four touchdowns to zero interceptions, and has a 109.8 passer rating.

His Rookie of the Year odds have skyrocketed up as he is now in a two-way race with Panther wide receiver Tetairoa McMillan. Shough has proven all his doubters wrong in just eight games, and Louisville fans are laughing, pointing fingers, and reminding everyone who said the Saints should have drafted Sanders or started Rattler.

Shough and the the Saints will close out their season against Matt Ryan’s Falcons on January. 4
