Louisville football held its second fall camp scrimmage on Wednesday, and the Cardinals fans are counting down the days until kickoff. The Cardinals come into the 2025 season ranked just outside the AP Poll's top 25, but the nation is beginning to realize just how lethal this offense is.

While many fans and experts will go straight to Isaac Brown, Chris Bell, and USC transfer Miller Moss, the quarterback actually mentioned a name that many fans might not know about. TJ McWilliams, a transfer wide receiver from Minnesota, is the receiver who has made drastic improvements in Moss's eyes and is someone he believes can make an impact this upcoming season.

After Wednesday's scrimmage, Moss was pulled to answer some questions, and when he was asked about the wide receiver room, the USC transfer had nothing but high praise. He explained the receivers would lift and watch film together on the weekends and have put in the work to succeed at a high level this season.

And while he gave Bell and Caullin Lacy their praise as well, he was quick to answer that McWilliams has made the most progress this offseason so far, and he thinks his versatility can help this Cardinals offense.

"I really think TJ McWilliams has come a really long way," Moss stated after the Cardinals' second scrimmage. "He is a guy who came in from Minnesota. Didn't necessarily know the playbook at first, but has really come a long way, is really invested, and it has been cool to see how that investment has paid off for him. He is a really reliable receiver. He can play inside and outside, and it's just been cool to see how his game has evolved."

The 6-foot-0, 190-pound receiver is one of Jeff Brohm's hidden gems from the Transfer Portal. McWilliams has seen minimal time in his collegiate career so far, as he redshirted his true freshman season in 2023 and then registered only nine offensive snaps in 2024.

However, Moss just gave the transfer extreme high praise and appears to have made drastic improvements since he arrived early this year. Coming out of high school, McWilliams logged 38 receptions for 447 yards and three touchdowns. He was also a lethal special teams player as he earned 756 kick return yards and two touchdowns through his last two high school seasons.
