Louisville basketball won 101-52 over the Bahamas Raw Talent team in the Baha Mar Hoops Summer League at the Baha Mar Resort on Tuesday. The Cardinals fans weren’t able to watch or listen, as there was no broadcast, but Louisville fans were impressed by the stat lines of a few players.

The Cardinals built one of the most expensive rosters in college basketball, as Pat Kelsey landed the No. 1 Transfer Portal class in the nation after adding six transfers. With Louisville’s roster, Cardinals fans are hoping for a Final Four run and maybe a legitimate National Title contender, but for that to happen, The Field of 68’s Rob Dauster makes it clear one newcomer holds the key to the Cards' title dreams.

National analyst sends clear message about Louisville’s Final Four ceiling

Louisville’s biggest addition this offseason was the 5-star transfer from Kansas, Flory Bidunga. The Kansas transfer ranked as high as No. 1 overall in the Transfer Portal and was a unanimous 5-star transfer after making the All-Big 12 First Team this past season.

When looking at Louisville’s path to a Final Four run and a National Title, Dauster made it clear that, as of right now, he isn’t quite sure if Louisville is a real National Title contender.

“I would not call them a Final Four favorite,” stated Rob Dauster. “I don’t think they are one of the top 10 teams in college basketball. I view them as a 3 or 4-seed that can make a run. As opposed to being one of the four or five teams that can go out and win a National Title.”

However, for Louisville to emerge as a true National Title contender, he made it clear that the key to the Cardinals' National Championship dreams is Bidunga. Right now, Dauster doesn’t know if Bidunga is an All-American-caliber player because of his offensive playmaking, but the college basketball analyst stated that if Bidunga can grow his game on offense and average around 17 points, then Louisville is in that National Title tier.

“If that is the Flory we get, 17 and 9, able to make little floaters, able to be a playmaker out of short rolls, and what he is defensively, if that is the Flory we get, then I think we start talking Final Four and National Championship tier,” stated Dauster on Flory Bidunga.

Well, while it was only an exhibition game, the Cardinals fans and Dauster saw Bidunga post exactly what he asked for, recording 18 points, 10 rebounds, six blocks, and four assists. The Cardinals are starving for a National Championship and a Final Four run, and Dauster reveals what Louisville needs to become a Final Four favorite.

Right now, Louisville has the No. 9 highest odds to win the 2027 National Championship, but in his eyes, he makes it clear that if Bidunga can take a leap on offense, then Louisville’s ceiling soars.
