NFL Combine is finally here, and one name that might have been left of the list is Louisville football's defensive linemen, Thor Griffith.
The NFL Draft is set to take place April 24-26, and Louisville football will be heavily involved. Players names like Tyler Shough, and Quincy Riley are the two stars, but many Cardinals names are flying under the radar entering the NFL Draft.
Pro Football Focus is one of College Football most prestigious analyst groups, and they recently stated Thor Griffith's name is one to remember and could make some noise in the NFL Draft.
Louisville football's DL set to turn heads
Thor Griffith is 6-foot-2, 320-pounds and is out of Portsmouth, N.H. The Cardinals former defensive linemen was an absolute force on the front line his entire career, and is rising as one of the NFL's sleeper picks for the 2025 NFL Draft.
Louisville defensive tackle, Thor Griffith, transferred to UofL and in his lone season with Jeff Brohm he immediately showcased his NFL potential. Griffith had 21 total tackles, 14 were solo, and three sacks in his 2024 season.
"An underrated player you should keep you eye on at the combine is defensive tackle Thor Griffith from Louisville." PFF stated on X. "He spent three seasons looking basically unblockable at Harvard before basically transferring to the Cardinals this season."

Before arriving to Louisville Griffith played in 30 games and registered 132 tackles, 33.5 tackles for loss, and 13.5 sacks in his Harvard career.
"He was insanely productive at Louisville this year with an 84.3 overall grade, and and a 84 run-defense grade. He reportedley can bench 225 45 times with a sub 5.0 40-yard dash boot. He can prove himself to be one of those late round trench player gems who you bet on due to standout combined numbers."
Thor Griffith defensive grade of 89.3 was PFF's second-highest rated defensive tackle in the FCS in 2023. Griffith run defense was one of the best in the nation, and his ability to get to the quarterback is what makes him NFL ready.
Griffith is NFL ready, and the game that proved his potential was when Louisville earned their first win over Clemson in program history. He secures four total tackles, and helped limit the Tigers to just 21 points.
Thor Griffith's name hasn't popped up much but, PFF is beginning to put the nation on notice by labeling him "one of the most underrated players" in the 2026 NFL Draft.
