Louisville football has had one of the best offseasons in 2026, setting itself up to be one of the top teams in the ACC next season. Jeff Brohm and Vince Marrow continue to prove why they are such elite recruiters, landing multiple 4-stars from the Transfer Portal while also convincing stars like Isaac Brown and AJ Green to return for another season with the Cardinals.
But Marrow and Brohm aren’t just having a good offseason in the portal. Louisville has already earned multiple 4-star commitments in the 2027 class, including Allen Evans and D'Angelo White. The Cards' 2027 recruiting class ranks No. 10 in the nation with its four commitments so far, as Jack Sorgi and Chuck Alexander join Evans and White in the recruiting class.
So, with the portal slowing down, and the 2027 recruiting class likely to heat up over the next couple of months, here are three 4-star recruits On3 Sports forecasts Louisville football to land in the 2027 class.
3. Jordan Haskins
Getting things started with the 4-star safety from Lexington, Kentucky, Jordan Haskins appears to be trending to the Cardinals, according to On3 Sports projections. Louisville was one of the first programs to extend an offer to Haskins back in June 2024, and now appears to be in a recruiting battle with Illinois and others.
The 5-foot-11, 170-pound defensive back ranks No. 291 overall and No. 30 among safeties in the 2027 rankings. On3 Sports has Louisville with a whopping 51 percent chance of earning his commitment, with Ohio next at 15.8 percent and Illinois at 13.6 percent. Also worth noting is that Indiana has made an offer, as the Hoosiers have been known for taking some of the state’s top recruits. Haskins ranks No. 6 among Kentucky natives.
2. Cam Wade
After earning multiple visits from elite 4-star wide receiver Cam Wade, the Louisville Cardinals are emerging as the favorite to land the Paducah Tilghman High School. Wade was one of many recruits to take an unofficial visit to Louisville for a gameday visit in Week 1 against Eastern Kentucky. Now, the Cardinals have a 31.3 percent chance of earning his commitment, with Penn State trailing at 27.4 percent.
Wade recently cut his list down to six schools as the Cardinals are in a recruiting battle with UNC, South Carolina, LSU, Maryland, and Tennessee. However, Wade is reportedly eyeing visits to Kentucky and Florida State in the coming weeks and is looking to visit Louisville once more. The 4-star wide receiver ranks 220 overall and No. 29 among wide receivers in the 2027 recruiting class. Wade ranks No. 5 in the state of Kentucky.
1. Malachi Brown
Lastly, the top recruit Louisville is trending with in the 2027 class is the No. 4-ranked Kentucky native and 4-star defensive lineman, Malachi Brown. According to On3 Sports, Louisville has the highest chance of earning his commitment at 29.7 percent, but is in a recruiting battle with Big 10 giants, as Ohio State is close behind at 26.0 percent and Nebraska at 22.3 percent.
Brown has received over 16 offers and is one of the top recruits in the nation, having received offers from Alabama, Tennessee, Miami, Indiana, and others. He ranks No. 100 overall and No. 11 among defensive linemen in the 2027 recruiting class. Louisville, Ohio State, Alabama, Tennessee, and Nebraska have all hosted him for an unofficial visit in 2025. Brown ranks as high as the No. 2 recruit out of Kentucky.
