The Louisville football program is heading into ACC games with a big smile as the Cardinals are 3-0 for the third straight season. They have completed their non-conference schedule, aside from the Governor's Cup against Kentucky, which will conclude the season, and will now play ACC teams from Week 5 until Week 13.
Louisville is not yet ranked in the AP Poll's top 25, but they have a massive opportunity this weekend against Pitt to jump some one-loss teams and make it in the top 25 for the first time this season. Louisville's schedule is manageable as of now, although one of the Cardinals' toughest games was initially scheduled to be a Friday night blockbuster showdown with the Clemson Tigers.
However, after the Tigers' massive letdown through four weeks, that game appears to be much easier, especially after what happened Saturday afternoon against Syracuse.

Louisville football should feel confident about one of its toughest games
Louisville and Clemson will go head-to-head on November 14 from L&N Stadium. The Cardinals and Tigers' matchup was supposed to be a blockbuster ACC showdown with a massive impact on the ACC standings.
However, Clemson got embarrassed by Syracuse on Saturday, losing 34-21 and dropping its third game of the 2025 season already. The Tigers gave up 435 total yards, including 157 rushing yards, which is obviously Louisville's strength.
The Cardinals saw through the Tigers' three losses that Louisville should dominate Dabo Swinney and the Clemson Tigers, just as they did last year, and run the ball right through them and out-physical them. Louisville fans felt good about this game because it was at home, but now that the Tigers are one of the biggest disappointments of college football this season, it is clear the Cardinals are confident they can beat Clemson for the second time in program history.
Louisville's offense has much higher potential than Syracuse's, and after watching the Orange dominate through the air and on the ground, Isaac Brown and Miller Moss shouldn't struggle at all against this Tigers defense.
