The Louisville Cardinals continue to prove that they are emerging as one of the best recruiting spots in the nation. The 5-star commit Mikel Brown Jr. was the first massive domino to fall their way, as the Cardinals then had a fantastic offseason in the transfer portal.
The Cardinals now are making a strong push for the class of 2026 as they are the favorite to land the No. 1 overall prospect in the class, Tyran Stokes. Outside of Stokes, the Cardinals have extended offers to 21 recruits, including three 5-star prospects. Louisville has been in the news recently with Deron Rippey Jr., as the Cards' Assistant coach recently visited the 5-star prospect out of New Jersey.

According to 247Sports' Dushawn London, Louisville is one of two teams visiting Toure's school, Notre Dame High School, next week. The Cardinals are one of 15 schools that have made an offer to the 6-foot-6, 185-pound small forward.
Louisville made their offer back in July 2024. The Cardinals expected to be in a fierce battle to land this star prospect, as Toure has offers from big-time programs such as Uconn, Alabama, Syracuse, and others.
Toure is ranked as a 5-star prospect, the No. 10 small forward, the No. 23 overall player, and the No. 1 player out of Connecticut in the class of 2026. He is a two-time Connecticut MaxPreps Player of the Year and put up impressive numbers in his junior season. The 5-star prospect averaged 25.2 points, 6.5 boards, 3.3 assists, and 2.3 steals per game.
