WOW! Pat Kelsey and Louisville basketball land their two top targets in the transfer portal on Sunday, April 12, as Flory Bidunga and Jackson Shelstad officially commit to Louisville. The Cardinals hosted both transfers on an official visit on Friday, and just a couple of days after the visit, Kelsey landed both top 10 transfers.
Predicting 2 Louisville basketball Transfer Portal commits coming this week
Louisville was the heavy favorite to land Shelstad, as 247Sports gave the Cards a Crystal Ball Prediction leading up to the visit, but with Bidunga, that wasn’t the case. It was reported that Duke was scheduled to visit on Sunday, and On3 Sports updated its prediction, giving the Blue Devils a slight edge over the Cards.
However, Kelsey worked his portal magic, and the Cards have a massive Sunday after hitting two huge home runs with the additions of Bidunga and Shelstad.

Louisville basketball lands Flory Bidunga and Jackson Shelstad
The Cardinals fans wanted an elite big man and a top point guard, and that is exactly what they got in this package. Bidunga is one of the best centers in college basketball as he won the Big 12 Defensive Player of the Year award after averaging 2.6 blocks per game and earned 91 blocks on the season, and Shelstad is a former 5-star recruit out of high school and was trending to have his best season last year before his injury.
Bidunga ranks No. 1 among centers and No. 1 overall in the Transfer Portal after he averaged 13.3 points, 9.0 rebounds, and 2.6 blocks per game while shooting 64 percent from the field. As for Shelstad, he ranked No. 16 overall and No. 5 among point guards in the portal after having a career-best start last year, where he averaged 15.6 points, 4.9 assists, 2.9 rebounds, and 1.4 steals per game in the 12 games he played last season.
The Cardinals' landing both Shelstad and Bidunga immediately puts Louisville not just in the ACC Title conversation with Duke, but also in the NCAA Title conversation.
