Louisville basketball is making a push for several transfer targets, as the Cardinals are trending with multiple big-time names, including 4-star transfer DeSean Goode. Louisville has landed three commitments since Sunday, including 5-star center Flory Bidunga. However, Pat Kelsey and Louisville's rebuild aren't done, as the next glaring position the Cards must address is power forward.
Why Louisville basketball’s offseason suddenly feels like a turning point
The Cardinals recently saw Kasean Pryor enter the Transfer Portal, joining a list of Cardinals forwards in the portal, including Khani Rooths, Sananda Fru, Vangelis Zougris, and Mouhamed Camara. So, with Louisville in dire need of a true power forward, the Cardinals are trending with multiple forwards, and one that Louisville is gaining traction with is the Robert Morris 4-star transfer.
Louisville basketball hosts 4-star transfer Desean Goode
It was reported that Goode was on campus for an official visit with Louisville on Thursday, April 16. Goode is a 4-star power forward in the Transfer Portal who can not only play physical basketball in the paint on both ends of the floor, but also space the floor and be a threat from beyond the arc.

The 4-star transfer is coming off a dominant season with Robert Morris, where he averaged an impressive 15.2 points, 8.7 rebounds, and 1.4 assists, while shooting 62.9 percent from the field and 57.1 percent from beyond the arc. In his one season with Robert Morris, he was a dominant forward in all phases of the game, splashing a career-high 36 3-pointers and logging an impressive 3.2 offensive rebounds per game.
He went on to make the conference First Team and win the Horizon Player of the Year award after his 287 rebounds and 62.9 shooting field goal percentage led the conference. He logged a dominant 12 double-doubles and scored 20 points or more in four games.
The 4-star transfer is being recruited by big-time programs as the Cardinals are battling Miami, which is now set to earn the next visit, as well as Kentucky, Kansas, St. John’s, and Kansas. The 4-star transfer ranks No. 70 overall and No. 18 among power forwards.
