Sleepers Media recently released its top 10 most talented teams in the nation, and Carter Elliott, co-founder of the media outlet, has the Cardinals ranked No. 1, putting them in a prime position to compete for a National Championship.

Louisville being No. 1 proves that the Cardinals are gaining national attention, and while this is shocking, it is around the area the Cardinals should be. Louisville could potentially have two All-Americans next season in Brown and Adrian Wooley and then add Ryan Conwell, Sananda Fru, and key veterans returning in Kasean Pryor and J'Vonne Hadley. This roster is genuinely one of the best from top to bottom.

Kelsey has built an absolute monster with this 2025-26 roster. The Cardinals being ranked No. 1 is the exact reason why Louisville should have its eyes set on a National Championship and nothing else. The Cardinals have the full capability of winning the program's first-ever ACC Title and their first National Title since 2013.

This roster can shoot and play defense, boasts elite paint presence, features multiple 5-star players, and has key starters returning with international experience. The roster is almost set, and their being No. 1 might appear high for some, but it is exactly where they belong.
