March is one of the best times of the season as college basketball’s March Madness tournament is the highlight of the month. Teams pick it up a notch across the board, especially their physicality, as Kelsey made clear that if you want to go deep in the postseason, Louisville has to be a physical team.

“All of the really good teams in the country are tough and physical," Kelsey stated after the game. "We know the teams we are going to have to beat to advance in the NCAA Tournament. They are going to be tough and physical and nasty, but so are the Cardinals.”

Louisville is trending toward a 6-seed, as Bracket Matrix lists Louisville’s average seed across 116 brackets at 5.89. The Cardinals will sit and wait to see what seed they will be in the NCAA Tournament, as Selection Sunday is this Sunday, March 15. The first round of the NCAA Tournament will be Thursday and Friday, and Kelsey is making it clear that Cardinals fans can expect Louisville basketball to play tough, physical basketball in March Madness.

So, while the couple of the biggest questions are about Louisville’s Mikel Brown Jr. and his injury status and the Cardinals' 12-of-50 shooting from beyond the arc (24 percent), Kelsey makes one thing clear: his Cardinals team will be physical next week, as Louisville looks to snap an eight-year drought without a March Madness win.
