December is upon us, which means college basketball is heating up. The sport has already seen thrilling matchups in the first two days of this month, and the games are only going to get better. Louisville basketball has a crucial four-game stretch starting this evening as the Cardinals are set to face the No. 25 Arkansas Razorbacks.

With the Cardinals ranked No. 6 in the nation for the third straight week, Louisville looks to earn its second statement win of the season and first true road win. The Cardinals are 1-0 against SEC opponents this season after their win over Kentucky, but Louisville is set to go on the road and face two top 25 SEC teams in the next 13 days, and one elite Big 10 team as well.

However, while the fans and the media are looking at Louisville's crucial four-game stretch, Pat Kelsey sent a strong message that set the tone for the next 13 days.

Louisville fans have heard this countless times in Kelsey's two seasons with the Cardinals that the only game that matters is the next one. Kelsey doesn't look ahead at all, and he takes everything one day at a time. And so, when he was asked about his four-game stretch, which will include No. 25 Arkansas, No. 22 Indiana, Memphis, and No. 13 Tennessee, his message remained the same.

"I don't care about the stretch. I care about Arkansas on Wednesday and today's practice." Kelsey stated in yesterday's morning press conference. "That is all that matters. It has nothing to do with the stretch. It has to do with what's right in front of us, and like I said, this is arguably the most talented team in the country coming up for us on Wednesday."

Kelsey continues to prove he is one of the best coaches in the nation, and his mindset heading into tonight's game is exactly what Louisville fans want. While some may want to hear him talk about the stretch and the opportunity, Kelsey makes it clear that Louisville has a massive game tonight, and his full attention is on Arkansas, and he isn't thinking about their showdown with Indiana in three days or their showdown with Tennessee in 13 days.

The Razorbacks and Cardinals matchup is one of the most anticipated games of the month, as these two backcourts are elite and are two of the best backcourts in the nation. Kelsey stated multiple times that Arkansas is one of the most talented teams in the country, and so his approach to this stretch should be no surprise to Louisville fans.

Kelsey's message just set the tone for this stretch as the Cardinals are focusing on one day at a time and are all-in on the Razorbacks this evening. And after tonight's game, they will quickly turn their attention to Louisville's next practice and the Hoosiers on December 6.
