The Louisville football team looked very strong in their first game of the season against Austin Peay. Their 62-0 blowout was one of the more impressive wins in the ACC. In fact, they might be one of the last hopes the conference has of getting multiple teams into the College Football Playoff.

The ACC in general looked poor to start the new college football season. Florida State has already ejected themselves from Playoff contention after losing two straight games to start the year. Clemson looks like a bust again after failing to score a touchdown against Georgia.

That leaves Miami as the lone-ranked ACC team that actually looked like a legitimate contender. They looked like the best team in the ACC after they dismantled Florida. It's a good thing the Cardinals get them at home this year Did Louisville do enough to get into the CFP conversation this week?

Miami makes a big move after that win against the Gators. They look like the best team in the ACC. Louisville is just outside of the CFP conversation this week. If the Cardinals keep up the great offense, they might be in the 12-team Playoff table in the future.

USC is the other team that makes a big move. They had the best win of anyone in Week 1 after they took down LSU in Las Vegas. Their defense was so much better than it has been at any point under Lincoln Riley. If that continues, they are true contenders to win the Big Ten.

Five Big Ten teams in the CFP would be a lot. Louisville has a shot to break that up. So does Alabama. They looked good in their first game of the year too. Things change each week in college football.
