The current Louisville head coach has been nothing short of a disappointment. Nearing the end of his second season with the Cardinals, Kenny Payne has struggled to make his case for a more permanent gig at Louisville.

Payne led the team to just four wins in his first season, finishing 15th in the ACC, with an overall record of 4-28.

Through the majority of his second season, Payne has seen some gradual growth. However, it hasn’t been enough for him to avoid finding a place on this list.

With just eight wins so far this season, the Cardinals are still falling short of their previous glory. Sitting at 8-18 overall and 3-12 in conference play, Louisville has once again hit the abysmal mark, and Payne is looking more and more like a regrettable hire.
