Eric Shelton wasn't called up until the 54th overall pick of the 2005 NFL Draft. While Shelton was drafted relatively late in the second round, he was drafted earlier than most running backs are due to their shorter tenures in the league.

The Carolina Panthers took a chance on Shelton and it is just one of many, many bad draft choices that the team has made.

Shelton only collected 23 rushing yards in his NFL career and an abysmal 6 yards through the air.
