Amidst all the transfer portal news coming from Jeff Brohm and Louisville, they managed to sneak a commitment from a defensive end from Georgia. Maurice Davis is a 3-star recruit out of Albany, Georgia where he plays for Dougherty High School. Davis looks to add depth on the defensive line as a freshman in 2024 and is a good get for Brohm and his staff.

Davis committed Friday evening amidst all the transfer rumors the Cardinals were getting, and shouldn't be overlooked as he is the 105th ranked player in the state of Georgia and 63rd overall ranked player on the edge.

Davis comes in at 6'5 and 210 pounds, and he should provide some good height and overall quickness to the defensive edge for Louisville in 2024. Davis visited in June but finally made his commitment last night. Davis also had visited USF and Ole Miss in June and had even committed to the Rebels but decided to open back up his recruitment in late November. He visited Georgia Tech as late as December 1st but eventually committed to the Cardinals on Friday.

Jeff Brohm is getting commitments left and right from all over the country, and Louisville football looks like it could look even better by the end of the month with all this positive recruiting news.

Welcome to The Ville Maurice Davis.
