While Louisville basketball is getting back on track with new head coach Pat Kelsey, there was speculation to where former Louisville head coach Chris Mack would head for next college basketball season.

Mack was fired from Louisville 3 seasons ago and has not coached since then. However, that has not changed since Mack accepted a 5-year deal to take over as the head coach at the College of Charleston for next season, taking over what was Pat Kelsey's former job.

Mack's first 2 seasons at Louisville were very promising, but after back to back seasons with no NCAA tournament appearances he was fired mid-season in the 2021-22 season. Pat Kelsey was also once apart of Chris Mack's staff back at Xavier, and just goes to show how the college basketball coaching carousel is all a big circle.

Best of luck to coach Mack, as long as he doesn't beat UofL in the tourney.
