The ACC is reportedly having a "down year" and while they have dominating teams like North Carolina and Duke, the rest of the field is very middling.

Teams like Virginia, Wake Forest, and Clemson are near the bubble and have the possibilty to make it still. Clemson is very likely to make the tourney as ESPN's Bracketology has them as a 5 seed at the moment. While Virginia is apart of the last 4 byes, and Wake Forest is listed as the first team out.

All five teams are likely to make it into the tourney barring a big collapse by Virginia or Wake Forest. Pitt is also still on the outside looking in, but they could still make it in if things fall their way and they can keep on winning games.

What is truly missing from the ACC this year is the inclusion of historically good basketball schools like Louisville, Syracuse, and Florida State. Along with other usually competitive schools like Miami or Virginia Tech. If teams like Louisville and Syracuse can get back on track then the ACC could potentially return to where they could be in the coming future.

Here are the seed lines for Joe Lunardi's Bracketology as of today:

North Carolina Tarheels- 2

Duke Blue Devils - 3

Clemson Tigers - 5

Virginia Cavaliers - 10

Wake Forest - First Four Out
