Jawhar Jordan has been a great running back for Louisville in the past 2 seasons, and although he had a fantastic first six games his nagging injuries in the 2nd half of the season held him back in the NFL combine and from ultimately being drafted higher.

Jordan had 653 yards and 9 touchdowns on 87 carries through the first 6 games last season, and through the last 6 games he only had 423 rushing yards with 5 touchdowns on 80 carries. The difference was because of Jordan's nagging injury throughout the ladder half of the season.

Because he wasn't 100% he wasn't able to play well and that even went over into the NFL combine, where he didn't oerform as well as he could. Jordan got drafted in the 6th round by the Houston Texans. This might be the best situation could have ended up in, as he will be running in a zone scheme and the Texans will likely use him in the kickoff return game as well.

Jordan was one of the best zone runners last season and if the Texans give him the opportunity to run the ball he will show that was much better than a 6th round pick, and that he should have gone much higher.

Only time will tell if Jordan will pan out over the course of his career, but I know where I'm putting my money on Louisville alumni Jawhar Jordan.
