Lauren Hartlage competes in KPMG Women's PGA Championship

Former University Of Louisville golfer shines in year's third major

Former University of Louisville golfer Lauren Hartlage was in contention going into the final round of the KPMG Women's PGA Championship. Hartlage, from Elizabethtown, KY, had a tough Sunday.

Near the lead, she double-bogeyed two holes in a row to fall out of contention. Hartlage ran in a long putt on the 17th hole to move into a tie for fourth. She tied for fifth, shooting a 3 under par for the tournament.

Hartlage won two events at U of L and turned pro in August 2021. Her best finish as a pro before Sunday was in the LOTTE Championship with a tie for sixth

Amy Yang won the major tournament carding a 7 under for the championship. Yang kept it interesting by sending her tee shot on the par 3 17th into the water carding a double bogey. Yang's winner's check is approximately $1.56 million.
