Louisville 24' Target Karter Knox to Make Decision Within 2 Weeks

Karter Knox just gave word that he will give his commitment within the next 2 weeks, and for Louisville it is an incredibly awkward situation.

Louisville, Kentucky, and USF seems to be the 3 teams in contention for Knox, who is a 4-star recruit and consensus top 25 player. Knox is the brother of Kevin Knox who played at Kentucky while Payne was an assistant coach there, which is likely why he is in the running.

Louisville seems to be 2nd in the running for Knox but what makes this situation awkward is that it is more than likely that Payne will be let go by Louisville by the end of the season. If Payne is let go would Knox still consider Louisville? It really is hard to say and would likely have to be determined after Payne is fired or let go.

Louisville plays their 1st ACC tourney game 2 days before Knox will "make his commitment" which certainly bodes for just an awkward situation if Knox were to commit to Louisville. Because of the situation it would put Knox and Louisville in, it would seem like he would just sign with Kentucky to play it safe and avoid this all together.

It is tough to say what will happen with Knox, but it will be interesting to see how it plays out.
