Louisville exploded on the offensive end to defeat Florida State Saturday night, 102-93. Ty-Laur johnson was the main reason for the Cardinals winning, and he is getting the recognition he deserves from the ACC. As Johnson was named the ACC rookie of the week.

Johnson came off the bench, but ended up playing 38 minutes Saturday night, and had the best game of his career against the Seminoles. Johnson dropped 27 points, 11 assists, 6 rebounds, 2 steals, 1 block, while shooting 60% from the field and 90% from the free throw line.

This was with no doubt his best game of the season, and no Cardinal guard had ever put up the stats that Ty-Laur put up on Saturday night.

Johnson needs to be starting from here on out, and while Skyy Clark has played well this year, Johnson has proved he needs to be the main ball handler going forward.

Hopefully Johnson's spectacular performance can get Kenny Payne's squad to some more wins this month, and end the season on a high note.
