Mike James had spent his last 3 seasons at Louisville, playing for 2 years under Kenny Payne and redshirting his first year due to being injured during Chris Mack's last season at Louisville.
James seemed to embrace Louisville basketball when he was here, and looked like he would be one of the players that could return to play under Pat Kelsey. While that didn't happen, James will have success at NC State. James's basketball talent was one of the best on Louisville's roster the past two seasons, and will likely be able to play well at another ACC school.
James will also be joining another Louisville transfer in Brandon Huntley-Hatfield at NC State. It will be very odd to see both of these players playing against Louisville next season, but we wish them the best in their basketball careers.
